The Asbury Gallery showcases exhibits depicting early pioneer life, including displays on blacksmithing, the post office, general store, phone operation, jail, bank, and livery. Additionally, the gallery features an extensive collection of firearms, arrowheads, the remains of a Columbian mammoth, tools, and more.

The Pioneer Gallery highlights larger artifacts, including a replica Conestoga wagon, buggies, plows, a mercantile wagon, and early firefighting equipment, notably a 1945 Mack Fire Truck, which was Burlington’s first motorized fire truck.

Patchen Hall presents displays related to optometry, medicine, and dentistry. Temporary exhibits currently include themes of modern conveniences, baseball, and the Wolf Creek Nuclear Plant, among others.

The Flint Hills Gallery features various military artifacts, including an ongoing exhibit dedicated to Coffey County Veterans. Additional displays focus on advancements in publishing tools and a range of musical artifacts.

The Cochran Gallery, named in honor of Dorothy Cochran, who contributed funds for its construction, houses a significant doll collection, quilts, a 1950s kitchen, a 1900s living room, a late 1800s bedroom, a dining room, a parlor, looms, and a World War II living room display.

The Rural Dale District 44 one-room schoolhouse, constructed in 1896 and originally located six miles southeast of Lebo, has been restored and relocated to the museum grounds in 1996. Accompanying the schoolhouse is a two-seater outhouse, designated as "out of order," which was also transferred to the museum.

The Bethel Church was relocated to the museum's grounds in the late 1990s, having previously stood approximately six miles west of Burlington. The original church was completed and dedicated in July 1895, but a tornado destroyed it in September 1896, leading to its reconstruction. Prior to its acquisition and restoration by the museum, the building served as a hay barn.
