The Coffey County Historical Museum is looking for a part-time Registrar to oversee the care, management, and proper storage of its collection. This position will be for 25 hours at $7.50 per hour. Hours will be from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The Registrar will be responsible for applying policies and procedures encompassing collections care, risk management, accessioning/ and deaccessioning, plus proper storage of artifacts. Seeking LeRoy Board Member
The Coffey County Historical Society is searching for an individual from LeRoy area willing to fill a position on the Board of Directors. This position is voluntary and is not paid. The Board of Directors oversees the Coffey County Historical Society & Museum. The Board of Directors meets once a month on the second Thursday at noon at the Coffey County Historical Museum in Burlington. The individual must either be a member or willing to become a member of the Coffey County Historical Society. Annual membership is $5.00 per year or a Lifetime Membership is a one-time fee of $100.00. The individual needs to be able to attend most of the monthly meetings until September 2015. If they wish to continue to be on the board, they must be elected by the members of the Coffey County Historical Society to a three year term.
